Find out more about the foodies:

Jenny Robertson

Jenny’s passion for food started at a very young age as a very adventurous eater. Always willing to try new things, she developed something of a habit of ordering things she had never heard of before, just to see what it was. Jenny will eat most anything, and favors clean presentations and interesting combinations of ingredients over burying food in sauces. Her favorite foods are those that make use of local ingredients in imaginative and unconventional ways, but nothing beats a scoop or two of good homemade ice cream. Jenny graduated in May with a Taxation LLM from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C.

Jay Robertson

Jay has enjoyed good food all his life, having had grandparents generous enough to take him to many fine dinners and growing up with subscriptions of Gourmet and Bon Appetit in the household. He began cooking in college and it soon became a new favorite hobby. Jay is the very loving and supporting husband of Jenny, and only occasionally makes written submissions to the blog, although he can cook a mean Valentine’s Day dinner.

As a young (in my mind) Little Rock lawyer who (a) went to school in Virginia (only for a year — and not a badass school like UVA), (b) loves food, (c) loves the internet, and (d) has also wrestled a wild animal (I lost), I must say that you seem to be extremely cool.

If you tell me that you watch Flight of the Conchords, I might just have to ask you both to hang out.

Cool blog guys! I came across it while running a search for TCM. Congratulations on your first forcemeat effort, looks good! Anyway, I see we have some things in common, I didn’t go to UVA, but I grew up in C’ville. I lived there until 94 when I left to go to school at the CIA. After bouncing around the country working in all sorts of environments for the last 12 years or so I am now a chef instructor at the Cordon Bleu school here in Dallas TX. It’s always fun to see others who are excited about food, let me know if I can ever be of assistance!

Thanks for such an informative blog. It was recommended at a restaurant in Little Rock and was then helpful in finding a great lunch place. Like you, I”m bi-costal. I live in Charlottesville, which abutts the Rivanna River, and am now a regular visitor to Little Rock to visit my daughter. Keep up the great work. And, let’s meet up for a meal and conversation.
